About Jonathan Bailey

Jonathan Bailey was born and raised in VT he moved to ME in 1977 after completing his education, B.S. in Human Development, from the University of Vermont in the year 1976. He is a self-taught photographer.

His formal training in photography is only one intro photography course in college although his teachers with whom he could maintain occasional contact helped him to enhance his skills

At the beginning of his journey, he paid his monthly bills through any other means but photography, in order to keep, is photography unencumbered from financial stress. He purposely didn't avoid commercial photography it simply happened that income came in various other ways.

Jonathan Bailey
financial stress

He is a nature photographer and has won accolades for his signature GP-1 gold split-process. Though he humbly says there isn't an engineered technique to create the image. The process and image must marry to be successful, and it works best when one stops trying to engineer the results.
